Saturday promises to become warm and all blue sky-sunny! I have two favorites:
Övelgönne Beach wich is easy to reach by bus 112 and allows for a view to the ever moving container harbor. Perfect place for a late afternoon picnic. Childrens can wade into the water and play in the sand. Toilettes are available in the two cafes.
The other beach I highly recommend is the beach in Wedel with its Beachclub. Beautiful wide sandy beach with nice loungy music playing in the back. The carribean flair is very nice. Further, there are playgrounds in the close vincinity. 10 minutes walking distance from Wedel S-Bahn station.
