Noctalis – World of Bats
The limestone cave in Bad Segeberg has reopened since April. In spooky (but not scary) atmosphere you learn about the cave and the world of bats during guided tour. Every year, more than 20,000 bats stay here for hibernation. With that huge number one should be lucky and see the one or other flying around! You will be exploring bizarre rock formations and mysterious shadows. The tours take place regularly and takes about 35 minutes (so you have to wait no longer than that in any case). Attention, in the cave it is only 9 degrees warm and sturdy footwear is also recommended! Our children liked very much the juvenescence stairs and they were busy calculating how often I had to climb them to be of their age again ;). An I liked the rocks on floor and ceiling that looked like a carcass – fascinating what chemistry/natur is able to do!
