The Arche Warder is some 45 minutes drive by car into Schleswig-Holstein. This is a special zoo with farm animals only, which are threatened by extinction. That means rare donkeys, pigs, goats, water buffalos & Co. An area is seperated for small animals that can be touched and fed by the children. The highlight is Murphy, the sheep. You can’T see the sheep in the bunch of wool! Parking place is right in fron of the entrance, the pathways are borad and well advertised. Perfect for families with stroller and all the baggage typically involved!

Easter Sunday and Easter Monday is a nice event: there is a biddy station where you can watch the tiny chickens grow and tumble around and the bunnies are awaiting caresses! I guess there will be more special attractions throughout the day.

There is a big nature playground with a huge, fallen climbing tree right next to the cafe. And for 10EUR you’ll get a set lighter, wood and a family portion dough for stick bread! Reservation recommended (0 43 29 / 91 34-0 – please check details on their website).

A big thank you to Cosima Lüdeke of City Strollers for this Tip!
