A very nice, non-commercial and free event is the yearly Stüffelfest in Hamburg Bergstedt taking place on 4th August 2012 (11:00 to 18:00). This is a very children-friendly event we have visited twice now. They organise ancient playground equipment like wooden carousel and can throwing, pony-riding, fairy-tale storytellers and grill bread on sticks. It’s a lovely event. Parking possibilities are at Teekoppel, however, it is easy to reach by public transport: metro station Poppenbüttel or Volksdorf and then by bus 174 to station “Stüffel” (either way). The farm Stüffelhof is employer of teens and young adults with learning problems and one can always stop by. The apple tree meadow invites to make a picpnic (ask, though!) and the little farm shop sells products they have manufactured themselves and a lot mor Demeter (organic) food.
