Wallmuseum Oldendorf

Not to be mixed up with Oldenburg close to Bremen, this place is located at the baltic sea, some 45 minutes drive from Hamburg. The Wallmuseum brings the Middle Ages back to life and is especially nice for children because there are always many activities offered: wool felting, knife carving, shooting with bow and arrow. There is also a nice playground and a barefoot park. On certain days you can to cross the lake with an anciant vikings boat.
By middle of June, the rose garden will be in full blossom and the herb garden is at about bristle, and for me that’s reason enough to go there. The trip can be wonderfully combined with a little swim in the baltic sea.
