St. Peter-Ording is a good two hours away from Hamburg and worth a visit in all seasons! You can drive by car onto the beach and when Daddy drives through large puddles and mom anxiously holds her hands to her eyes in fear that the car got stuck in the sand (played of course), then the children in the back seat screech with joy . Even at cool temperatures one can have its feet recklessly can washed over by the North Sea water, when wearing rubber boots and rain pants. One can fly kites or collect shells. Best retreat directly on the beach: the 45Grad Nord in a house on stilts and big terasse, protected from the wind and with a gorgious view!
