We have been visiting the chocolate museum in Hamburg city center yesterday. In principle the Chocoversum is one big room on the groundfloor, lavishly decorated and it offers a lot to smell and taste. One can sit inside a cacao bean hear the rain forest, weigh ones own weight in cacao beans and, most important, make your own chocolate. A guided tour is a must, takes 1,5 hours and includes the making of your chocolate in the middle (the same must cool in the fridge for 30 minutes). It’s a fun activity for children aged 5+, but disproportinally expensive.
