For the end of the spring holidays something special? A movie premiere – like in Nice? Well, not exactly, however, the nice, old-fashioned small cinema Abaton has quite some charme! It often shows movies for children – mostly in German, though (like this one).
The story: Pelle is 12 years old and more of an outsider at school. When, on the flight from the “terror-twins”, a bite from a very special ant endows him with incredible powers, he adopts the cape and cowl of a new, headline-grabbing superhero: Antboy! He is strong like a bear, can walk walls, pees acid (sorry the language) and feels addicted to sweets.
His friend, the comic fan Wilhelm, quickly grabs what has happened: Pelle now has the powers of an ant. Like his big idols he intends to protect the world as „Antboy“. Unfortunately, he has to face a dangerous counterpart: super eval flee.
After the movie the director will answer your questions and give autograms.
In January ANTBOY was rewarded with the Danish Academy Award as best children movie and for the best visual effects.
