15. March – 1. November daily 10 – 6 pm, Entry until 5 pm.

The Donkey Park Nessendorf takes care of more than 100 donkeys (of all ages and types) on 20 ha land. There are really a lot of donkeys: Different sizes, different colors, different ears … and always little donkey foals. In addition to the many animals there is also a large children’s playground with a “pirate ship bouncing house”, a play barn with a large straw castle and a little zoo with small donkeys to caress. Everyday from 2:00 pm onwards stick bread baking is offered, and you can do gold panning or carriage riding. Even with this program you can have fun without getting bored easily for more than 2 hours. But there is also something very special:

A bit more expensive, but with 1: 1 care: daily from 12:00 – 5.00 pm you can be a donkey apprentice for full five hours and help the staff from the donkey park feeding and supervising the donkeys. You are wearing your own vest from Esel & Landspielhof and help supervise the whole area. And since you will be presumed almost part of the team, you are also invited to have lunch and a coffee break together with the staff. So if mom and dad want to sunbath entwined on the beach or want to spend hours reading a good book or newspaper in a wonderful country cafe without keeping the next generation entertained, then this program is definitely something that will be remembered for long!

Also possible: 2 hours with a donkey all alone. This is a nice family experience. You must, however, adhere to the prescribed paths, so that one is always available for the staff. Start is daily at 10:30 am, 1:00 pm and at 3:30 pm. Riding on the donkeys is not possible!

Very family-friendly. Can be nicely combined with visit to Travemüne beach or Timmendorf.
