I have been passing this place for many years now but never got to explore it – until now!

Last Saturday I made it, curiosity killed the cat 😉 We have been heading to the free parking place behind the concert hall Markthalle and followed the unconcpicuous signs leading through a dusty corridor into another world. It feels like time travel. The building is close to 100 years old and tiny antique shops sell their small and big treasures. Really, it feels like you are in Harry Potter’s Leadenhall market and any minute you’ll be snapped by a friendly wizard. Well. Almost. Bring a wee bit of money – you’ll may just find the perfect ‘got-ya’ piece for your home.

This trip is NOT recommended for parents with very small children – there are so many glas objects on sale that you’ll end up having several heart attacks over their break. My 9-year-old son, however, found a magazine on paper planes from the 70ties. And I fell in love with this vintage puppet house. Unfortunately, Santa Claus was already fully set on the chrismas gifts 🙁
