The Klick Kinder museum in Osdorfer Born has exhibitions dealing with how grandmother lived in the 50ies, how money can be self-made and dealt with (with a bank and a shop), what the human body is about, an outdoor workshop where children can brick, cover a roof, conduct electric works, lay flags etc. and how humans lived in stone age. No “Look at that, Jack!” or “Have you seen this, Mimi?”. This works miraculously and automatically. No need for animation by adults. My children did not want to leave after 2 intense hours and we could have easily spent another two hours. Good tip for children’s birthday parties.
