The Stüffelhof is located in the North of Hamburg and is dedicated to give young people with a learning handicap a task. They learn how to plant vegetables, corn, herbs and the like, take care of the horses and the cows or help sell the products in the little farm shop, that also sells organic products of other manufacturers. I di buy cheese ther from time to time and little tomato plants. A very nice, non-commercial and free event is its yearly children festival. This is a very children-friendly event we have visited three times now. They organise ancient playground equipment like wooden carousel (amazing) and can throwing, pony-riding, fairy-tale storytellers and grill bread on sticks. It’s a lovely event. The story-teller has a romantic tent from the mideval time and its cosy atmosphere transports the audience to the far places of her tales. If the weather is good or if there are too many children, she reads outside and it is of great use to wear something that survives sitting in the grass. Parking possibilities are at Teekoppel, however, it is easy to reach by public transport: metro station Poppenbüttel or Volksdorf and then by bus 174 to station “Stüffel” (either way).
